Fields

  • avgCap: average capacity of all courses (Cap / Total Sections)
  • avgFill: average fill rate of all courses (Fill / Total Sections)
  • AY: Academic Year. The year is designated by the year of the Spring Semester. Thus AY '26' includes courses from 25/SU, 25/FA, and 26/SP. (See 'Term' to get the calendar year in which a course took place.)
  • Cap: Capacity in terms of SCH TODO improve label to standardize with 'Capacity' and distinguish this from capacity in terms of seats

  • CostPerFillCredit: The cost by SCH given the number of seats that were actually filled (Cost / Fill)

  • InefficiencyCost: InefficienyCost uses CostPerCredDiff and multiplies this by the number credit hours taken by actual students (CostPerCredDiff * Fill). The InefficienyCost looks at what the cost per student credit hour would have been if the class were filled to 100% fill rate

  • RtSzdCostSav: RtSzedSav is the difference between the actual costs vs the cost after right sizing the number of sections offered to meet actual demand.
  • sDept: The source department of the instructor teaching a course. If an instructor's home department is CLS, but they are teaching an HS course, then the sDept will be CLS. For departments that include several subect designations, sDept abbreviations do not always align with a subject abbreviation. CLS is the home department for Classics (not CL, as it it includes CL, LT, GK), FA for fine arts, and MLS for modern language subjects.

Parameters

  • cAllXListRollup: Roll up all cross-listed courses into their source department regardless of department
  • cap: cap used when estimating staffed courses based on number of seats offered or filled
  • cDeptXListRollup: Roll up all cross-listed within the same department into one course or row
  • cHideExclude: Whether to hide excluded courses from the results
  • courseNumber: The specific course number. This should be written exactly as follows PL*201. This is a start-string operation so it will match all courses whose course number starts with the supplied string. In this way you can search for all PL 200 courses by entering PL*2. (Though if there were a PL*20 or PL*2 course then these would be included in the aggregation.) Courses numbers can also be strung together separated by a comma, for example PL*201,PL*202. This will aggregate all courses that start with PL*201 and PL*202.
  • cUseSDept: Aggregate courses by the home department of the instructor rather than the department designation for the course in question
  • cZenMode: Use Zen Mode to display a simplified table with fewer columns; Uncheck to view all columns used in calculations
  • Dept: The department offering the course (e.g. PL, HS, etc. Custom aggregations can be generated by joining department labels with '-', for example PL-TH. For very common aggregations virtual department labels have been created, such HUM (for PL-TH-EN-HS-WR), FA (for all Fine Arts divisions), CLS (for CL-LT-GK) and MLS (for all Modern Languages divisions) and LCAS for all departments within LCAS. For some, but not all reports, a comma can be appended to a virtual department to include all departments as individual items. This looks like 'HUM,' or 'LCAS,'
  • endYear: indicates the end academic year for aggregation. The year is designated by the year of the Spring Semester. Thus AY25 includes 25/SU, 25/FA, and 26/SP
  • facultyType: The type of faculty teaching the course. See dropdown for options
  • Level: The academic level of the course (e.g., 1st Level, 2nd Level, etc.) See dropdown for options
  • planningYear: indicates the academic year for which planning is being done. The year is designated by the year of the Spring Semester. Thus AY27 includes 26/SU, 26/FA, and 27/SP
  • proj: The metric used for projections (e.g., Total Percentage, Freshman Percentage)
  • sectionCourseType: used for filtering by registrar class designations (e.g. 'S1' 'GT' 'OR' etc.)
  • semester: The semester for which the data is being requested (e.g., SU, FA, SP). See dropdown for options
  • startYear: indicates the start academic year for aggregation. The year is designated by the year of the Spring Semester. Thus AY25 includes 25/SU, 25/FA, and 26/SP
  • tests: Select tests to run. 'All' runs all tests, 'prevCapacityCheck' runs the previous capacity check, and 'PercFilled' runs the percentage filled test. See dropdown for options
